Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Role and Responsibilities

Congducts laboratory testing on blood and bodily fluids using complex equipment to analyze specimens for bacteria, viruses, parasites, drug levels, nutrients, cholesterol, and blood sugars.

Follows protocols to interpret and deliver accurate test results, utilizing tools such as cell counters, microscopes, and culture techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

• Requires active certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or AAB)
• At least 18 months of relevant experience
• Possibly a state license
• Solid understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment handling
