The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit, providing high-quality patient care to those with common diagnoses such as congestive heart failure (CHF), diabetes, pneumonia (PNA), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and other medical/surgical conditions. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population. Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions using telemetry equipment. Read and interpret cardiac strips, ensuring timely intervention when necessary. Collaborate with charge nurses and supervisors to enhance patient care quality. Participate in departmental orientation and training programs. Float to various medical/surgical units as required. Qualifications Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential. Experience in a telemetry or critical care setting is preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Work Environment Unit capacity of 24 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available with a 12:1 ratio. Access to respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices. Shifts and Scheduling 12-hour shifts; scheduling managed by unit leadership. Weekend and holiday work is required. No guaranteed block scheduling. Dress Code The designated scrub color is navy blue.
