Travel Med Surg/Telemetry RN

About the role

The Med Surg/Tele RN provides patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, assessing health conditions, monitoring cardiac data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures
• Maintain safety and infection-control standards
• Document patient information accurately and timely
• Facilitate discharge planning and education
• Collaborate with care teams to coordinate patient care
• Manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as an RN in med-surg or telemetry
• Valid RN license in the state of practice
• Current BLS certification
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS and ACLS
