Travel Med Surg/Telemetry RN

About the Role

Provides high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, assessing patient conditions, monitoring cardiac data, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per standards
• Conduct patient assessments, document changes, and report concerns
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure infection control
• Document patient information accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care planning
• Manage multiple patients, prioritize care, and facilitate discharge planning
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards

Requirements

• One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
• Valid RN license and current BLS certification

Skills

• Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English, PC skills, and ability to follow instructions
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain concentration, and handle public contact
