About the role

As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler Registered Nurse (RN) will contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care for patients. The role may involve floating within the same discipline across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients on a general medical/surgical floor, focusing on post‑operative patients requiring overnight stays.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding care plans and treatment options.
• Float within the same discipline across multiple locations as required.
• No on‑call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Iowa.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Minimum of two years of previous nursing experience.
• At least one completed travel contract.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Not employed within the last 12 months.

Qualifications

• Epic experience preferred but not mandatory.

• Hours per week: 48 hours (alternative 36 hours per week available)
• Shift: 12‑hour day shifts
• Start time: 07:00
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
