About the role
The 3B/3C Stroke Telemetry Unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment specializing in the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. This 34-bed unit is designed to deliver evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a strong focus on patient safety, rapid intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document frequent neurological assessments (including NIH Stroke Scale)
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in real time
- Ensure compliance with stroke core measures (dysphagia screening, education, care plans)
- Administer medications using BCMA standards with a focus on safety and accuracy
- Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team (providers, therapy, case management)
- Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment
- Maintain a constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety
Requirements
- Active RN License
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
- Ability to read basic rhythm strips

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
