VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a hospital contract in Baltimore, Maryland. The position is for an MS/Tele Registered Nurse on the 5 West GIGU unit at Sinai Hospital, with a start date of November 9, 2026. The assignment is 20 weeks duration (contract length noted as 13 weeks in the posting) at 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts, travel employment type.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the 5 West GIGU unit at Sinai Hospital.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmia management.
• Administer blood products, perform central and peripheral line management, and handle invasive procedures.
• Collaborate with rapid response and code teams to manage emergency situations.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner charting system and adhere to unit protocols.

Requirements

• Maryland or compact RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry interpretation and remote telemetry monitoring
• Rapid Response/Code Team participation
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Blood product administration
• Central line, peripheral line, and PICC line management
• Heparin protocol
• Feeding tube management
• PCA (patient‑controlled analgesia)
• Seizure disorder and substance‑withdrawal management
• Surgical drain care
• Tracheostomy care
• Wound and wound‑vac management
