Travel Med Surg Telemetry RN - $1,895 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specialized in Med Surg / Telemetry for a 13‑week assignment in Farmington, New Mexico, starting 10/12/2026. This is a travel nursing position (12‑hour day shifts, 36 hours per week) where the RN will monitor patients using telemetry equipment and provide bedside care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and adjust specialized telemetry equipment, interpreting and recording electronic displays.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify appropriate medical team members.
• Initiate corrective action whenever monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.

Requirements

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of experience (as noted in the posting).
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods.
• Ability to lift 20 lb easily; occasional lifts up to 50 lb may be required.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
