Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Pediatrics RN - $1,991 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Start date: ASAP; duration: 13 weeks; employment type: travel. The right RN should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Current NIH certification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Schedule

12‑hour rotating shifts, 36 hours per week.
