About the role

We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN to provide essential nursing care in a hospital setting. This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extension, requiring 36 hours per week on 12-hour rotating shifts. The role may involve floating to units J1-2, J3-33, and the ED to support the same patient population.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, rotating
• Shifts may include:
  • Night: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Day: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Flexibility is required to meet the operational needs of the hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, administering appropriate interventions as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation according to facility protocols
• Assist with the orientation of new staff as required

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing, with recent experience preferred
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must be current)
• Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory
