Shift Details Shift Type: Nights Shift Hours: 1845-0715 Shift Length: 12 hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Unit Information Unit Type: Medical Surgical / Telemetry Number of Beds: 90 (double occupancy) Nurse-Patient Ratios: Days 1:5-6 | Nights 1:6 Patient Care & Responsibilities The RN will care for a variety of medical patients, typically including those with pneumonia, COPD, acute kidney injury, and postoperative cases such as laparoscopic cholecystectomies and appendectomies. Duties include: Monitoring and managing patient vital signs and health status. Titrating medications such as Heparin and Lasix (non-titrated). Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. Utilizing Epic EMR for documentation and patient management. Signing off on telemetry strips generated by dedicated telemetry technicians. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in a specialty setting. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. Experience in a Trauma Level I/II facility is required.
