Travel Med Surg Tele RN - $1,906 per week

About the role

The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in a Med/Surg and Telemetry setting, managing various diagnoses including dementia, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, and more. Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing patient conditions, administering medications, managing IV therapies, conducting phlebotomy, and educating patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the EMR system (Epic).
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including blood product administration.
• Implement and manage care for patients with telemetric needs.
• Conduct phlebotomy and central line management.
• Provide pre and post-operation care for hemodialysis and various surgical procedures.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as required.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact license acceptable).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage insulin protocols.
• BCLS certification required prior to start.
• EKG testing must be passed prior to start for this specialty.

Schedule

Night shift available, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15).

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
