About the role
The Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various units within the hospital. Due to the float nature of the role, flexibility and adaptability are essential as nurses may float to specific units, including J1-2, J3-33, and the ED to manage a similar patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitor telemetry patients.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
- Respond to patient needs and coordinate care with other healthcare personnel.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and patient care conferences.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary departments.
Requirements
- 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med Surg/Tele nursing.
- 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience (travel experience is acceptable).
- Active Ohio RN license or compact state license.
- Current American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
- Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
- Night and Day 3x12-Hour Shifts.
