About the role
We are seeking a Med Surg RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. The role involves assessing patient conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Explaining procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and documenting findings
- Preparing patients for diagnostic procedures and assisting physicians
- Maintaining safety, infection control, and patient comfort
- Managing multiple patients, prioritizing care based on acuity
- Facilitating discharge planning and advocating for patient needs
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum one year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS certification
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform required tasks and work effectively with diverse teams
- Proficiency in documentation, reading, and following instructions
