Travel Med Surg RN

About the role

This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac telemetry
• Administer medications and prepare patients for procedures
• Document care and report patient status
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Ensure patient safety and follow infection control protocols
• Advocate for patients and facilitate discharge planning
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Maintain a safe environment
• Perform other assigned duties within scope of practice

Requirements

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
• Valid RN license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move and assist patients and equipment
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS certification
• ACLS certification
