About the role
A Travel Med Surg RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac telemetry data
- Administer medications and treatments according to standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Educate patients and families about procedures and treatments
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
- Ensure safety, infection control, and advocate for patient needs
- Support discharge planning and maintain a safe environment
Requirements
- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS certification
Skills
- Critical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving movement and equipment handling
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain concentration
- Visual acuity and sensory communication skills
