Travel Med Surg RN - $3,244 per week

About the role

Pulse Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13‑week assignment in Marquette, Michigan. The position starts ASAP, requires 48 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts, and involves working on a medical/surgical unit with patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1. Equipment includes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, bladder scanner, Dynamaps, and the Cerner EHR system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Manage patient care in a stressful environment and respond with appropriate actions during emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical/surgical setting required.
• Licensure: Valid state nursing license.
• Certifications: ACLS certification required.
• Personal attributes: Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication and interpersonal skills; adaptability to changing priorities and challenging situations.
• Dress code: Galaxy blue scrubs (navy also acceptable); attire must be professional and comply with hygiene policies.
