The successful candidate will join our team for a 12-hour day shift, committing to 48 hours per week. Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a Med Surg setting. This role involves working on a unit of 20 to 34 beds, with a typical patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. Nurses may be required to float to other Med Surg units as needed. Weekend and Holiday Requirements Every other weekend availability is required. Holiday work may be needed, particularly during major holidays, with expectations to work two blocks around these periods: Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, plus the weekend after. Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after. New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the weekend after. Position Requirements Minimum of 2 years current Medical Surgical experience. Telemetry experience is required. Willingness to float to any Med Surg unit is essential. Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly preferred. Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly valued. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be current and included at the profile upload. A personal vehicle is required for commuting to the assignment. All requests for time off must be communicated at the time of submission. More than 5 days of requested time off will not be accepted. Profile Requirements Current work history relevant to the position. Skills checklist for Medical Surgical, valid within the past year. One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
