This role involves actively participating in patient assessments, care planning, and implementation while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met. Shift Requirements Start Time: 1900 36-hour guarantee (with the option to accommodate up to 48 hours) Float required within the same discipline Every Other Weekend commitment Job Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings. Develop and implement individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med Surg nursing. Active Iowa or Compact nursing license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Experience with Heparin administration is mandatory. Must hold Mandatory Reporter status. Orientation Dates Available orientation dates include 10/12 and 10/26. Additional Information This position is located in a Level 3 Trauma Center environment where nurses may be required to float to different units within the same discipline as necessary.
