Travel Med Surg RN - $2,362 per week

About the role

This travel nursing position is for the night shift on an Adult Surgical Unit, with some pediatric patient beds available. Travel RNs may be required to float to other units as needed. The assignment is located in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
• Documents care according to established standards.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by a physician and in line with hospital policy, which includes educating patients and families.
• Participates in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units and departments, supporting the long-term care plans for patients.
• Employs critical thinking for patient safety and experience, escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.

Requirements

• Current WI Nursing License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current NIHSS Certification
• Education verification required
• Less than 1 year of nursing experience is required

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Every other weekend and holiday required
