Travel Med Surg RN - $2,316 per week

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions CHS is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing assignment in Kirksville, Missouri. The unit has 10 beds with a patient ratio of 1:10 (swing patients only). Scrub color may be any solid color; the EMR system is MedHost.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehabilitation (swing) patients.
• May absorb med‑surg patients if swing volume decreases.
• Patients require less nurse‑intensive care than traditional med‑surg but require the same skill set.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1+ year of Med Surg experience.
• Rehab/Med Surg experience required.
• Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts (6 p.m.–6:30 a.m.).
• Weekend work required.
• Call availability as needed (no standing call; may be placed on call if volume supports, not exceeding 48 hrs of call‑off time already in contract).
• Floating mainly to Med Surg units for patient assignments; may be floated to other units for tasking only with existing competencies.
• Proof of residence greater than 50 miles from facility and not have worked as permanent staff for CHS in the last 12 months.

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks.
• Hours: 36 hours per week.
• Shift: 12‑hour nights, 6 p.m.–6:30 a.m.
• Weekends required.
• Call required as per policy.
• Floating required as described.
