Travel Med Surg RN - $2,247 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Utica, New York. This is a 13-week contract position requiring night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with 36 hours per week. Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed. The role requires floating to other units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult patients with a variety of diagnoses such as post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgical needs
• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Utilize specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the appropriate team members
• Educate patients and families on care procedures and health management

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Active RN license in New York and all active nursing licenses
• NURSYS report for license verification
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Must provide a resume documenting travel experience

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract & local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
