Work in a large medical-surgical unit at a hospital serving a vibrant community in northeastern North Carolina. You will care for adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses in a facility offering advanced technology and a compassionate, patient-centered culture. The hospital is fully accredited and provides a wide range of services, including 24-hour emergency care, backed by a diverse team of medical professionals. Roanoke Rapids is known for its welcoming atmosphere and access to outdoor recreation along the I-95 corridor.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for adult patients with medical and surgical diagnoses in a large medical-surgical unit
- Deliver patient care in a fully accredited hospital with advanced technology
- Work 12-hour night shifts as part of a 36-hour per week travel assignment
- Collaborate with a diverse team of medical professionals
Required Qualifications
- Active registered nurse (RN) license (Compact accepted)
- 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- BLS-AHA certification
- CERT-NIH Stroke Scale certification
- IV Insertion competency
- Must reside outside an 80-mile radius of the facility
- Travel experience required

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Pay rate range: $1998.00 – $2101.00.
Schedule
12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, 13-week duration. Start date: September 21, 2026.
