About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment starting August 31, 2026, in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Med Surg setting.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with patient care activities such as medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with meals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing.
- At least one year of recent relevant clinical experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Qualifications
- Experience in Med Surg settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.

Pay
The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with a start date of August 31, 2026.
