Travel Med Surg RN - $1,787 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for an assignment in Fort Morgan, Colorado. TotalMed is a top‑ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on immediate conditions.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients’ families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 lb routinely (up to 50 lb for patient moves).
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with confused, agitated, or uncooperative patients.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
