Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in a 36-bed unit, collaborating with a supportive and experienced team.
- Perform basic patient assessments and provide general care.
- Manage and maintain care for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes.
- Provide care for patients experiencing strokes and seizures.
- Administer and monitor dialysis and PCA pumps as required.
- Deliver post-operative care including amputations, ostomy, drains, oral surgeries, and wound vacs.
- Conduct bedside shift reports and perform safety checks every 1–2 hours.
- Engage in medication scanning protocols, including controlled substances.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Ability to float over core staff as needed.
- Experience in acute care nursing preferred.
