Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse - $2,189 per week

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. The assignment starts on 10/12/2026 and lasts 13 weeks. The orthopedic unit specializes in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and other elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses, with emphasis on research and innovation, offering education and professional growth in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and routine nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
• Monitor patient condition and record vital signs with a focus on telemetry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery processes.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education programs.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an orthopedic or trauma setting.
• Telemetry experience is essential.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only) are required.
• Previous orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week.
• 12‑hour shifts.
• 3×12.0 rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights.
• Weekends, holidays, and on‑call requirements as needed.
