  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 3x12.5 - Straight Nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM including every other weekend and holiday; on-call per unit needs.

Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. The RN will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires a strong background in managing patient needs, especially in a high acuity unit.

  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Document all patient interactions and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Provide patient education and support on recovery and discharge planning.
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical experience required.
  • At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Ohio.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Mentor or charge experience in a high acuity unit is required.
