About the role
The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical / Colorectal & Bariatrics unit. You will handle a diverse patient population, utilizing clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans effectively.
This position requires 36 hours per week, with no block scheduling, and entails working one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. You must also be available to work at least one holiday during the contract period.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Monitor patient conditions and record vital statistics
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans
Requirements
- 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
- Active NY RN License
- AHA BLS certification
- 2 years of U.S. work experience for non-U.S. candidates
