Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse - $2,013 per week
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical skills, and effective communication to provide high-quality compassionate care to patients and their families. The RN will assess patient needs, develop a collaborative plan of care, provide direct care, evaluate patient progress, and coordinate care delivery throughout the patient's episode. This role encompasses the care of adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with various medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Utilize nursing knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional patient care.
- C Conduct thorough assessments of patient and family needs using active listening and analytical skills.
- Create individualized and culturally relevant care plans in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed based on patient responses.
- Promote patient rights, safety, and health, while fostering mutual trust within the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on self-care and lifestyle changes necessary for health and healing post-discharge.
- Document educational efforts and assess patient/family understanding and retention of information.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nursing practice and care delivery.
- Build caring and trusting relationships with patients and families.
- Administer medications and perform other clinical interventions as required.
Requirements
- NYS RN Licensure.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only).
- NIHSS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg environment.
Qualifications

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
This position requires a flexible schedule with 3x12 hour shifts on day and night rotations, as well as availability for weekends and holidays.
