Travel Med Surg Oncology RN - $2,085 per week

About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is a 13-week contract position located within a 50-mile radius requirement.

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, including Saturday and Sunday shifts
• Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse patient population in a 36-bed Post-Operative/Oncology unit
• Manage and prioritize patient care with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Administer chemotherapy and manage patients with post-operative complications
• Prepare for and educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments
• Monitor patients for vital signs and reactions to medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as needed; charge nurse available 24/7 for support

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification required
• ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy Biotherapy) certification is a plus
• Experience with chest tubes and titration of Heparin drips is highly preferred
• Previous experience in MedSurg and Oncology nursing is advantageous
