Job Summary

The Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor nurse position is located on a 4th-floor unit specializing in cardiac care, with a focus on postoperative surgical and medical patients. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to a diverse patient population requiring comprehensive cardiac treatment and recovery support. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Location: 3441 Dickerson Pike, Nashville, Tennessee, 37207
• Shift Schedule: Dayshift; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 0 years of experience minimum, from an accredited nursing program
• Willing to work on the designated hospital unit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical-surgical nursing, cardiac care, or related specialties

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Staffing includes unit secretary during dayshift and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on all shifts
• Equipment: Documentation system utilizing Meditech
• Certifications: Level 1 trauma, Comprehensive Stroke Center (additional certifications preferred)
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs
