About the role

Maternal Fetal Medicine (OB/GYN) Sonographer at a medical center. This role involves performing advanced obstetric diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures, including first trimester, nuchal translucency, anatomy, growth, dopplers, biophysical profile, basic fetal echocardiography, transvaginal ultrasound, portable imaging, amniocentesis, and chorionic villi sampling (CVS). The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends, no call, and no holidays.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week (8‑hour shifts).

Requirements

• Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN specialty issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• 1 year of sonographer experience working specifically in Maternal Fetal Medicine

Skills

• Knowledge of fetal abnormalities
• Proficiency in performing obstetric ultrasound scans
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to perform patient positioning and transporting duties using proper techniques

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced obstetric diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures: first trimester, nuchal translucency, anatomy, growth, dopplers, biophysical profile, basic fetal echocardiography, transvaginal ultrasound, portable imaging, amniocentesis, and chorionic villi sampling (CVS)
• Select proper transducer and technical factors for accurate ultrasound exams
• Review medical records for clinical information
• Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment
• Participate in quality assurance studies
• Document billing codes
• Provide clinical instruction to sonography students, OB/GYN residents, and medical students
• Assist in procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS

Pay

Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
