About the role
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a small community hospital on Nantucket, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
- Adhere to infection control practices and maintain a sterile environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience required.
- Active ARRT certification required.
- Active Massachusetts state license required at the time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted; license required if applicable.
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
- 2 professional references required for consideration.
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted.

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
