Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. The position offers 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and starts immediately.

Special Requirements

• One year's experience as a Mammography Tech
• Current state license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ARRT Certification (preferred)

Essential Work Functions

• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
• Position patient appropriately for imaging procedure
• Maintain medical imaging equipment, ensuring machines are functioning properly
• Organize the procedure room for optimal safety and efficiency
• Maintain image quality during procedures, adjusting as needed
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare teams
• Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures
• Practice infection prevention through consistent hand hygiene, use of PPE, and isolation precautions
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Mammography Technologists

Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
