Responsibilities
- Provide extended care to patients living with disabilities or suffering from progressive or chronic illnesses, including the elderly and others needing assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing).
- Record vital signs and administer medications.
- Assess changes in patient's health status and perform various treatments.
- Complete assignments made by physicians and provide routine treatment.
- Perform meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care among nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
- Be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered in long-term care.
Requirements
- Active RN License or Active LPN License.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS Certification.
- Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long-Term Care setting.
- Additional requirements to be determined by the client’s facility.
