Travel LTAC RN - $1,907 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) position in Nashville, Tennessee. This is an immediate travel opening in an LTAC facility where you will care for patients with serious medical conditions requiring extended hospital-level care, including ventilator support, wound care, and post-ICU recovery.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, and monitor vital signs and lab results
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care, as well as advanced wound management
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers for ongoing treatment plans
• Support patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensuring proper patient care delivery
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols and facility safety standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate patient status updates
• Document all care activities and interventions accurately and in real time
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience in a Long-Term Acute Care or similar high acuity setting (ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an RN in an LTAC setting)
• Current BLS certification
• Eligible for state licensure
• ACLS certification
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Adaptable, highly skilled in critical care practices, and passionate about supporting patients through complex and prolonged recovery

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
