Travel LTAC RN - $1,751 per week

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Long Term Acute Care registered nurse for a travel assignment in Dayton, Ohio.

About the role

Travel nursing position in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit. Assignment starts 09/14/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Care for 5-6 patients who require extended medical care, including those with pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.
• Adjust and perform in a fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV.
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and illness/injury management.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; record and interpret electronic displays and telemetry readings.
• Notify medical team members of any irregularities in telemetry readings.
• Perform all duties of a registered nurse, including starting IVs, drawing blood, and managing patient care from start to finish.
• Work with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and interpret tele-strips.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and telemetry strip interpretation.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
