Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in various healthcare settings, focusing on basic nursing functions such as medication administration, vital sign monitoring, wound care, and patient education.
• Work as part of a healthcare team to ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, and effective care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain Patient Health: Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications via oral, topical, and injection routes.
• Wound Care: Perform basic wound care, dressing changes, and catheter care.
• Activities of Daily Living: Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, eating, mobility).
• Specimen Collection: Collect specimens for laboratory testing.
• Observation and Reporting: Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervising RN or physician.
• Documentation: Conduct routine health assessments and screenings, monitor patient responses to treatments and medications, recognize and report signs of complications or adverse reactions, maintain accurate documentation of patient care and observations, assist with diagnostic procedures and tests, educate patients about medication purposes and side effects, provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families, assist with discharge planning and follow-up care instructions, promote patient safety and infection control practices, maintain detailed patient records and care plans, document all nursing interventions and patient responses, communicate effectively with healthcare team members, participate in shift reports and team meetings, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Equipment and Supply Management: Operate and maintain basic medical equipment, ensure proper sterilization and cleaning of equipment, monitor and order supplies as needed, maintain clean and organized work environment.
