Travel Long Term Care RN - $2,101 per week

About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a long-term care travel nursing job in Norristown, Pennsylvania. This position is for a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting within a residential rehab environment, addressing the needs of a diverse patient population with mental health and addiction challenges. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and medication administration
• Conduct group therapy sessions focused on medication education
• Monitor and assist patients with daily activities and compliance with treatment plans
• Collaborate with a team of physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, and addiction counselors
• Handle admissions and discharges, while maintaining accurate documentation
• Utilize physical restraints when necessary, in accordance with facility policies

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification (crisis management training provided during orientation)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care or residential rehab setting (preferred)
• Experience with IV administration (essential)

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Weekend and holiday requirements: every other weekend and 3 out of 6 major holidays
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
