About the role

This is a 13-week contract position for a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in Long-Term Care. The role involves providing both direct and indirect skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility, working collaboratively with nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff while adhering to established policies and procedures. The RN is expected to maintain and enhance clinical expertise through ongoing education and training.

Schedule

Part-time day or night shift; variable, as needed. Every other weekend and holidays are required. Shift: 12 hours, rotating. 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Collect ongoing data related to residents’ physical and psychosocial conditions and communicate findings with the interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the development of age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plans, involving residents and families in the care process.
• Recommend revisions to care plans based on evaluations and resident outcomes, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Mentor and orient new staff members, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Ensure safety and quality in the delivery of nursing care while maintaining a healthy, safe environment for all residents.

Requirements

• Current New York RN Licensure (LPN Licensure mentioned in posting is incorrect for this role)
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term care setting

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
