Travel Long Term Care Registered Nurse - $2,070 per week

This position is located at a skilled nursing facility specializing in geriatric nursing, focused on providing supervised restorative care for older patients recovering from hospitalization or acute illness. The role involves delivering high-quality care to post-operative patients with various diagnoses such as pneumonia and congestive heart failure, ensuring optimal recovery and functional restoration.

Responsibilities

• Managing medication administration
• Managing physician orders
• Performing patient assessments
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery and patient safety
• Managing admission procedures
• Ensuring quality patient care with an emphasis on safety and recovery

Requirements

• WV Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• BLS Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
• Experience working with post-operative hips, knees, shoulders, pneumonia, and CHF patients
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems, specifically EPIC

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Weekends and holidays rotating
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

• The unit handles post-acute care with a patient ratio of generally 1:9-12, focusing on geriatric nursing and rehabilitation
