Travel Long Term Care (LTC) Occupational Therapist Assistant - $1,676 per week

MetaSense, Inc. is seeking a travel Long Term Care (LTC) Occupational Therapist Assistant for a position in Webster, Massachusetts.

About the role

This is a travel assignment with a duration of 13 weeks, requiring 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, rehabilitative, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Provide ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate with the supervising OT regarding treatment adjustments.
• Report treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes.
• Educate and consult with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in the electronic documentation system.
• Accurately record treatment minutes in accordance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Participate in patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, utilization reviews, trainings, in-services, and other required meetings.
• Assist with obtaining necessary DME and supplies in collaboration with the supervising OT.
• Support and supervise OTA students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
• Follow all applicable NBCOT, AOTA, and Massachusetts practice standards, ethics, and regulations.

Requirements

• 1+ year of OTA experience (Required).
• LTC or Rehab experience (Required).
• Active COTA license/registration in Massachusetts (Required).

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
