About the role

• Radius: 60 miles; driver’s license must be submitted.
• Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote.
• Unit: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Mother-Baby.
• 15 LDRP beds, 2 OR suites on the unit for C-sections, 3 triage beds.
• Newly opened dedicated postpartum unit.
• Approximately 100 deliveries per month.
• AWHONN staffing ratios: Labor 1:1–2, Postpartum 1:1–4, Triage 1:1–3. If performing the transition role, one RN transitions the baby and one cares for the mother.
• 24/7 scrub techs available for C-sections.
• EFM system: EPIC + OBIX (fetal monitoring system).
• Call requirement: 2–12 hour shifts per month. If low census, the RN remains on call and must be available to come in if the census changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage, labor, antepartum, postpartum, and OR (circulator) duties.
• Transition (catch baby and transition) experience preferred but not required.
• Occasionally care for post-op hysterectomies.

Requirements

• 1 year of specialty experience within the last 3 years.
• 1 year of travel experience is highly preferred.
• RNs with only postpartum or L&D experience may be hired for dedicated roles if versatile candidates are unavailable.
• RNs who can float throughout the LDRP area are preferred.

Required Certifications

Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or others as specified by the facility.
