Travel Labor & Delivery RN - $3,240 per week

About the Role

Secure Nursing Service LLC is seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Redwood City, California. This position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week on a night shift (12 hours).

Unit Details

• Labor & Delivery unit with nurse-to-patient ratios per ACOG and California guidelines: 1:3 or 1:4 couplets
• Charting System: Cerner PowerChart Maternity and Cerner Fetal Links for fetal heart monitoring (FHM)
• Charge Nurse responsibilities: Triage patients
• Nurse Aides: OB techs will function as aides when no cases are present
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday nights or Saturday/Sunday days)
• Holidays: Rotate with staff (one of every three major holidays)
• Scrub Color: Ceil blue provided by the hospital
• Anesthesia: Available 24/7 (typically in-house, but may be up to 20 minutes away); present in-house during active labor
• Epidural Rate: 90% of the patient population elects for epidural
• Physician Coverage: Private OB/GYN physicians available after hours and on weekends; during the week and daytime, they are at their private practices

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Active RN license
