About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Dulles, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Labor, vaginal deliveries· C-sections· Inductions· OB ED (triage)
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols.
- Assist physicians during labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart tones and managing epidurals.
- Manage postpartum patients as needed.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years labor experience.
- Required certifications: ALS, BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring, C-EFM.
- Ability to float to the Postpartum unit if needed.
Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as an RN in at least one state.
- Current BLS certification.
Skills
- Experience with labor tubs for midwifery patients.
- Knowledge of fetal monitoring systems.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Meditech and CPN).
