About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment starting August 17, 2026, in Santa Maria, California.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for laboring and delivering mothers and their newborns.
- Assist physicians during deliveries.
- Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs.
- Administer medications and fluids as prescribed.
- Perform basic neonatal resuscitation if necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current California RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of obstetric procedures and protocols.

Pay
The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
