About the role

Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week assignment in Dubuque, Iowa. This position requires working 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and cannot be past employees of any Malone Healthcare facility within the last 12 months. Contractors are required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day unless the unit is closed.

Unit details:

• Bed Size: Maternity (16), Nursery (12), NICU (4), C-section suite (1), Overflow rooms
• Ratios: Labor (1:1), Postpartum (1:2), NICU (2:1)
• Patient Types: antepartum, mother-baby, newborn, OB/GYN, NICU
• Drips/Titrations: glucose, magnesium, pitocin, insulin
• Delivery volume: 50-60 births per month
• Level 2 maternal/neonatal center
• EMR: EPIC
• NBO: 16 hours

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery, including medication administration for glucose, magnesium, pitocin, and insulin
• Monitor and manage patient types including antepartum, mother-baby, newborn, OB/GYN, and NICU

Requirements

• 24 months of Labor & Delivery / L&D experience (required)
• Travel experience within the last 15 months (required)
• EPIC experience (required)
• NRP certificate (required, must provide documentation)
• Intermediate or Advanced EFM / electronic fetal monitoring certificate (required, must provide documentation)
• STABLE certificate (required, must provide documentation)
• Medication administration experience with glucose, magnesium, pitocin, and insulin (required)
• Nursery / Mother-Baby experience (preferred)
• Post Partum experience (nice to have)
• NICU experience (preferred)
