This combined unit includes labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care, providing comprehensive support for mothers and their newborns. Key Responsibilities Manage labor and delivery processes, ensuring safe and effective care for patients. Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns, addressing their physical and emotional needs. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including OB/Gyn, family medicine obstetricians, residents, and certified nurse midwives. Utilize the electronic medical record system (EMR) TruBridge for accurate documentation and reporting. Assist in delivering an average of 35 babies monthly, while also managing a monthly outpatient and OB ED volume of around 100. Participate in procedures such as C-sections as a circulator (preferred but not required). Qualifications Current and valid RN license. Experience in labor and delivery nursing is required. Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE necessary. Intermediate fetal monitoring certification is also required. C-section circulator experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Unit Information This is a 9-bed LDRP unit equipped with a dedicated operating room suite and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) on-site, ensuring prompt and effective care during delivery procedures. The nursery has a capacity of 3 beds. Schedule This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Location Position located in a facility in City, State.
