Travel Labor & Delivery RN - $1,925 per week

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Number of Beds: 9 labor rooms, 6 triage rooms, 3 AP rooms, 3 ORs
• Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 laboring, 1:2-3 AP, 1:1 c/s and PACU
• Unit Staffing: OB tech always in staffing for scrubbing c/s and assisting with vaginal deliveries, 1 dedicated charge nurse to assist with triage and transport (baby nurse), 1 unit secretary 0700-2300
• Type of Equipment: Documentation system: Meditech and Centricity
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts/week, must work 1-2 days or eves during winter holidays if working
• Floating Policy: Possible to float to Mother Baby but not frequently. Will not float to any other department
• Patient Experience Requirements: 2+ years of L&D experience in hospital setting, preferably 1 or more travel contracts completed, Advanced skills needed: NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring
• Procedures Performed: Cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, vaginal deliveries, IV starts with lab draws, circulating cesarean sections, recovering cesarean sections (usually with spinal anesthesia but general anesthesia occasionally)

Requirements

• Certifications Required: AWHONN intermediate fetal heart monitoring, NRP, ACLS, BLS

Qualifications

• 2+ years of L&D experience in hospital setting, preferably 1 or more travel contracts completed
• Advanced skills needed: NRP, ACLS, BLS
